ENVIRONMENT
Poland Market Hohenwutzen is located in the middle of the beautiful landscape of the Oderbruch. This unique inland delta offers a special experience with its wide and sparsely populated areas, marshes and wetlands and its many plant and animal species. The transboundary nature complex along the Oder River is part of the Lower Oder Valley International Park and the Natura 2000 protected area.
Especially recommended is the exploration of this unique landscape with the Bike, via well-paved bike paths along the Oder dikes or former railroad tracks. You can find more information about bicycle tourism HERE.
THE BEAUTIFUL CEDYNIER HEATH
It is recommended to visit the beautiful Cedynier heath which is worth visiting especially in autumn. At this time you can find nature in the most diverse and unusual colors in the form of thousands of bushes, shrubs and trees.
On the Cedynier Carpathians you can even find a desert-like 72ha landscape. Here grow numerous protected plants, which have a high natural value and were appreciated even at the end of the 19th century.
In the 40s of the 20th century, this area was used by many filmmakers because of its nature, showing a high similarity to the African savannah.
